Desiree Turner, from your last reading save the fire, tells us: ´«Screenwriter of, among others, Love Dogs, 21 grams and Babel, by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Guillermo Arriaga, He never ceases to surprise you as a writer as well.. Your novel save the fire it's explosive. Sex and violence in their purest form and a loving relationship that takes you to unsuspected limits. Your head spins a couple of times with Marina's brutal story (dance teacher) and the prisoner José Cuauhtémoc». to read it.

Our companion mine had just finished Sofia's Suspicion, by Paloma Sánchez – Garnica. And although she was clear that she wanted to continue reading her novels, His idea was to start a very different book to intersperse genres, plots and historical moments between reading and reading. Something that was not possible when by pure chance it fell into his hands. Last days in Berlin. She saw it on a shelf at a friend's house and when she picked it up and read the first pages there was no turning back.. ´«Under an entertaining and simple reading lies a very well-documented historical work that traces a social journey, political and economic between Germany and Russia, from both the Nazi and Bolshevik era. Because when Yuri Santacruz attends the appointment as chancellor of Adolf Hitler, He couldn't imagine how much his life in Berlin would change. A novel that engages on every page and entertains, while you learn about two historical periods of great relevance and immerse yourself in the lives of characters with a lot of personality ».

Alvaro has surprised us with The teacher's favorite formula (2004), de Yoko Ogawa. «A story of encounters and how the randomness of these – some would say destiny – can mark our lives even when these people are no longer here.. With the excuse of mathematics, "The protagonist and the reader learn the complexity of human interactions through the teachings about the beauty of numbers and their relationships shared by the extravagant sexagenarian mathematician on whom the plot revolves.". It certainly invites you to read it..

María, in love with lusophone literature, has recently devoured Exemplary tales, a collection of short stories by the Portuguese writer Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen published in 1962. Its name refers explicitly to the beginning of the book, at Exemplary novels by Miguel de Cervantes, «they are given the name of specimens, and if you look closely, "There is not one from which a lesson cannot be learned.". Among them, Maria stands out Portrait of Monica, the description of a traditional Portuguese woman in the context of the Salazar regime. The character is inspired by Cecilia Supico Pinto, woman of Luis Supico Pinto, Minister of Economy of the dictator and who remembers so much, also, to the concept of women in the Franco regime. "Definitely, "a wonderful criticism of the regime that circumvented all the censorship of the time".

Cora start reading Listen, beautiful Marcia. «A graphic novel (gift from the Agua y Sal team) that tells the story of Marcia, a nurse at a hospital near Rio de Janeiro, and his daughter, that has grown up in the favelas, and has been fully involved in one of the high-level criminal gangs. A complex mother-daughter relationship, that I am sure will be stretched to unsuspected limits, but what do I think, "that the thread will be embroidered and the links will be strengthened". Investigating, Cora has discovered that the title refers to a fashion, an anonymous Brazilian love song from the s. XIX. Don't miss it!

Maria Jose is reading The danger of being sane, by Rosa Montero. «A work that moves between essay and fiction and that delves into the discovery of the essence of life, especially in the lives of writers. In it he exposes the links between creativity and mental instability, given that, The job of writing is usually one of intense people who need to live on the edge.. The writer points out that reading a book is getting into someone else's head, so, when reading it, We know part of Rosa Montero's life: some hobbies, curiosities, travel and the core of history, his mental health problems and the tragic lives of the writers who have impacted him".

Now you can run to get your readings at the Fair!, people!
